Here’s a new club in Los Alamitos that we hadn’t heard about before — the Good Neighbor Club. We’re not sure exactly what it did at this point – other than be good neighborly — but this blurb in the Press-Telegram is proof that the club existed.
LOS ALAMITOS Jan. 25 — On Wednesday the Good Neighbors Club of Los Angeles met at the home of Mrs. Pat Swafford on Chestnut Street. Election of officers placed Mrs. Andrew Larcen in the president’s chair, with Mrs. Leta Wadley, secretary-treasurer, and Mrs. R.G. Meyers, chairman of the flowers for the ill. Games were played with honors going to Mrs. B. Ballard and Mrs. H Mann.
