ALAMITOS EXPECTS 225,000 BAGS

Santa Ana, Cal, Sept. 2 — A production of 225,000 bags of sugar or about 75 per cent of normal, is hoped for this year by the Los Alamitos Sugar Company, according to Manager E.C. Hamilton of the Los Alamitos Factory, which began slicing beets August 21.  The harvest so far has been light, but heavier tonnages are looked for from now on, as the beets are rapidly maturing.  The factory is employing about 400 hands at the present time.
